Three witnesses in the Tarun Tejpal sexual assault case Friday recorded their respective statements in a Goa court before a judicial magistrate, officials said.
Ishan Tankha, G Vishnu and Shougat Dasgupta -- all employees of the Tehelka weekly news magazine who have resigned since the incident -- were the people in whom the victim confided soon after she was sexually assaulted by Tejpal in an elevator of a five-star hotel in Goa.

Police also expect this weekend to record the statement of Shoma Chaudhury, managing editor of the weekly, who has since resigned.
Tejpal, Tehelka editor-in-chief, sexually assaulted a junior colleague -- who has since resigned -- in an elevator of a five-star hotel in Goa Nov 7 and 8.
Tejpal had on November 20 accepted "misconduct" against the woman journalist and offered to recuse himself from the post and the office for six months. Tehelka's Managing Editor Chaudhury and the magazine came under attack for maintaining that the alleged sexual assaults on November 7 and 8 were an internal issue. On November 22, Goa police filed rape case against Tejpal.
