A teenager in West Bengal allegedly committed suicide on Sunday after an argument with her brother over a headphone, police said.
"A 19-year-old girl from South 24 Parganas district's Baruipur allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself on Sunday morning. The body was recovered from her bedroom," an officer from Baruipur police station said.
According to police, the college student was upset after she had a fight with her younger brother over a headphone.
"It seems that the girl has committed suicide following the argument. The brother is not being interrogated as no complaint has been filed by the parents," the officer added.
The incident comes days after another teenager committed suicide in the state over an argument with her brother.
The teenager from Jalpaiguri district consumed pesticide last Thursday after she was allegedly scolded by her parents for fighting with her younger brother over watching a television programme.
