The two men she met reportedly told her that wearing heavy gold jewellery on the road was prohibited. They said they wanted to see the numbers embossed on the ornaments, and even stopped an accomplice and asked him for his chain.The moment Jog handed her gold chain, earring weighing 20 gram, the men fled the scene on their bike.
Inspector Tejaswini Yadav of the Sahkar police station said a complaint has been lodged. "We have not made the sketches of the culprits yet. Once, that is done, we will try to track them. All the known robber gangs in these parts are behind bars. This gang could very well be from some other area," said Yadav. Jog was unavailable for comment.
