CBS Education, the master franchisee of UCMAS for Maharashtra, is participating in 15th UCMAS National Level Abacus competition which will take place at Jaipur on August 27 and 28.

Around 5,600 students within the age group of 6-14 years across India from various UCMAS institutes will be participating, out of which 410 students will be from Maharashtra. These national level competitions are held annually since the last 15 years.

"The main objective behind organising this competition is to find abacus genius from India and to develop a healthy competitive spirit among the children while giving them an opportunity and platform to showcase their talent at a national level," CBS Education (Mumbai region) said in a statement issued here today.

The participants will be solving 200 mathematical sums in just 8 minutes with amazing speed using abacus as well as their mental abilities. UCMAS is an institution which runs all over India and abroad. It trains children of 4-12 years in arithmetic and enhances skills like concentration, creativity, listening and photographic memory, etc.
