While the state education department has mentioned that RTE admissions will be conducted between February and March 2015 for the next academic year, there haven't been any definite dates announced.

On Thursday, the BMC education officers announced that the admissions will be conducted between February 23 to March 7 this year.
"Usually the dates are extended for the benefit of applicants as well as schools. We hope to finish the process before schools break for vacations," said a senior official. He added that the exact dates and schedule will be announced within the week.
Of the 25% seats reserved under the RTE Act for underprivileged children in the city, approximately 50 per cent of the seats remained vacant last year.
