A young couple, whose families objected to their relationship, married in Mangalore yesterday with the help of the Sri Rama Sene.
But the relationship continued even when Geetha went to Manipal to work in a private firm.
They decided to marry on Valentine's Day and approached the Sri Rama Sene for help.
The Sene promised to get them married but the plan had to be postponed due to the arrest of some members and some others going underground.
Yesterday, Shobith and Geetha got married at Shankar Mahaganapathy temple in Mangalore, with the blessings of the Sene.u00a0
The couple was also blessed by North Karnataka police as some of them had come to the temple for inquiries.
But they went back after the couple explained that they had already registered their marriage at a sub-registrar's office.
The Sene promised to find the couple jobs since Geetha had left her's and Shobith was unemployed. We wanted them to start a new life and extend all possible help, the Sene members said.
