In an unfortunate incident, a 26-year-old social worker was murdered last night at Kodati Colony near Sarjapur railway station.

Tragic: Pramila and her husband along with her child during happier times

The HSR Layout police carried out initial investigations and sent the body of the victim for post-mortem.
The police told MiD DAY that the reason of death had not yet been ascertained but they suspected financial differences to be the issue.u00a0

u00a0P Pramila, a mother of two teenage children, worked as a fund collector for Shri Balganapathy Ashram Hostel that runs food programme for orphans and poor children at HSR Layout.

Last night while returning from home, some strangers hit Pramila on the head and chest. Investigating officials said that she had suffered injuries to her head. They also ruled out rape. When her husband Prakash saw her in the bloody mess, he rushed her to a nearby hospital, but she was declared dead on arrival.

Investigating officials said the murder was suspicious because the killers did not take any of her belongings.
Family members and neighbours said that she did not have conflicts with anybody.

Manjula, Pramila's sister, said, "She did not have conflicts with any one and I don't know why she was killed."
The police haven't ruled the case of a wrong person being attacked and are investigating all angles.
LY Rajesh, police inspector, HSR police station, said, "We have filed a case and taken samples from the scene of the crime."

He added, "We have not yet found the cause of Pramila's murder but we assume that it could be financial differences."
