Cops suspect involvement of acquaintance
A senior citizen was found strangled to death at his home in Ramesh Nagar of west Delhi on Wednesday. Police suspect involvement of an acquaintance behind the incident. An FIR of murder has been registered at Kirti Nagar police station and a special team has been formed to look into the incident. 
According to a senior police official, a PCR call in this regard was made around 7 am by the deceased's family members. The victim, identified as Vilhayak Satiya, used to live in the area along with his daughter and son-in-law.
"Satiya used to live on the first floor of the house while others lived on the second floor. His daughter discovered his body, and his hands were tied with a rope," said the police official. The official said preliminary investigations suggest the accused made a friendly entry.
