Shame on Bikers who ride on footpaths. It's sad to see senior citizens have to do the job what traffic police is supposed to do in our country.@nnatuTOI @mumbaimatterz @MNCDFbombay @mid_daypic.twitter.com/AB1TWmQPRW
The video received over 319,000 views on Twitter with more than 6,200 likes and was retweeted over 2,100 times, with many users praising the woman and showing the sorry state of the traffic in their own cities. The video made an impact when a user named Sri Jain Mahajan tagged the Pune police, saying, "Hope pune city CP will immediately take coercive action on such bikers & protect the snr citizens who are bravely enforcing the law." The Pune Police replied on the tweet assuring that they will work on the issue.
Noted, We will definitely work on it.

Here’s how the Twitterati reacts on this issue.
It's all about the mindset. We Indians in general lack the sense of belongingness towards our nation and so donot bother to follow the rules and regulation. This includes people enforcing these rules. The day we realise it the problem will be solved.

Look at the shameless bikers. Surprised to know you think it's the job of the Traffic police to stop these bikers. Bikers have no business to be riding on footpaths. 10x more cops are needed to stop this. New Motor Vehicle Act hasn't been implemented

I do this often to curb bikers from riding or parking on footpath on S.V.Road, Madina Manzil, Goregaon (W), The hotel & bank customers park their vehicles on footpath when they have a place inside. When told them to help us they say its not their problem.
