A 7-year-old girl from Pune, suffering from heart ailment, wrote to Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi seeking help. And guess what? She not only got a reply from him but also immediate help.

Vaishali Monish Yadav, a resident of Ganga nagar in Hadapar in Pune who is a student of second standard studying in Pradnya Prathamik school was suffering from hole in the heart since two and half years, The only solutionwas open heart surgery which needed Rs 3 lakh.
Vaishali's father Monish (35), work as a painter and her mother has left the house soon after she was born as she was fed up with her father getting Epilepsy (Fits). Vaishali wrote a letter in hindi to PM in New Delhi along with her school identity card picture.
On May 26, Dr Sandeep Kachare medical officer of District hospital received a call from Pune collector to trace this girl. Pune District Collector Saurabh Rao made a team of four officers including a medical doctor to trace the girl. The search went for two days and on the third day, she was traced.
A senior officer speaking to Mid-day from Pune District office said, "On May 26, PMO office secretary Dr Shrikar Pardeshi informed Pune District Collector Saurabh Roa to help this girl and consider this as special case. Accordingly, it took three days to trace the girl and she later underwent a medical examination to study about her case. Accordingly it was found that Yadavs had no government documents. So documents including below poverty line card, ration card was prepared so that she could benefit such government schemes."
Vaishali's letter was written in Hindi which was dated May 20. It was two pages
"Adarniya Modiji Muje apni Beti samajke bacho, me badi hona chahati hu, muje padna ahai aur ek bahut badi police afsar bana chahati hu…agar aap kahenge to kyubi mere papa se paise nahi mangege…Aap muje mere kat ka jawab doge na.."
Vaishali's father Monish recalls, "Vaishali and my brother Pratap are the only ray of hope in my life. I came to Pune from Ahmednagar so that my daughter gets best education but due to drought there is no good opportunity. Two and half years ago my daughter was playing in school and she fainted. She was rushed to hospital and during her examination conducted by doctors we came to know that there is hole in her heart for which surgery is the only solution. We approached various social organisation, NGO's, politicians, social workers but they just made us run from pillar to post. One volunteer working with NGO in the area even demanded bribe from us or a particular percentage from us."
