Sahitya Akademi winner Kavita Mahajan's online troll has been arrested for repeatedly writing derogatory and abusive posts about her on Facebook.
The accused, Ganesh Dighe, is a poet and resident of the Pimpri-Chinchwad area in Pune and was arrested on Saturday.

Dighe had been harassing Mahajan, 50, for the last seven to eight months by writing Facebook posts full of derogatory remarks and filthy language. He'd also threatened Mahajan.

"All of this has been happening for no reason. After tolerating this for months, I filed a written application with the Vasai police station," Mahajan told mid-day.

Cops lodged the FIR on August 9. "With technical analysis, we found the accused in Pimpri-Chinchwad on Saturday," said Sanjay Hajare, senior inspector, Vasai police station. "We detained him and brought him to Vasai police station where he confessed to abusing Mahajan," added Hajare. Dighe was booked under sections 354 (D), 509 of the IPC.
On Sunday, Dighe was produced in court, which remanded him in judicial custody.
