"We have some minor differences. A meeting with defence minister is underway. The picture will be clear soon," Atul Dubey, a volunteer with the the ex-servicemen's front, told IANS.
Earlier, Maj. Gen. Satbir Singh (retd), the adviser of the ex-servicemen's front, told reporters that the OROP scheme should be applicable to all retired officers, following reports that it will not be for those who take voluntary retirement.
"We heard that those ex-servicemen who took VRS will not be given the OROP. This is totally unacceptable," Maj. Gen. Satbir Singh said.
Saturday is the 82nd day of the agitation.
The defence ministry has called a press conference at 2.30 p.m. However, the subject of the press conference has not been disclosed.
