We can't stop thinking of the frozen strawberry yoghurt at this dessert stop in Bandra, we just wish they had more options

Okay, we have an admission to make. There have been occasions when we have fallen for the toppings instead of the ice cream.

So when we spotted Oreo cookies, marshmallows, chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles at Fro Yo -- a dessert shop in Bandra that serves frozen yogurt -- we could not contain our glee. Until our bubble burst. Of the four yoghurt flavours that are served: blueberry, strawberry, mango and plain, only the first two were available. And most will agree that fruit and chocolate cookies simply don't go together.

This was our third visit to Fro Yo. The first time we landed up -- on a weekday -- we were surprised to learn that the shop had downed its shutters by 10 pm.

The owner was apologetic -- they had no power since 6 pm. We returned the next day, only to see the power play truant every five minutes, thanks to construction work nearby. We had to be content with a smoothie. The Tropical Paradise Smoothie (peach, orange and cranberry -- Rs 75) had the consistency of fruit juice, instead of milkshake, though it was comforting to sip on one, under the sunny sky.

Our fingers were crossed on our third visit. We were finally rewarded with a frozen yoghurt -- we opted for the Strawberry yoghurt with strawberries, kiwis and pomegranate as toppings. The fresh fruit and the tangy fro yo got our vote. The plain Blueberry Fro Yo wasn't that bad either, though it was no fun without the fruit
toppings.

Tea is also served at Fro Yo (green, Chamomile, lemon, Kashmiri) and coffees (cappuccino, latt ufffd, mocha, caramel). Our suggestion? Don't go down the Cocoberry way, please. Give us more interesting flavours that would take our mind off the gelatos nearby. And stop playing sappy Bollywood music while you're at it.

What Is frozen yoghurt?
Frozen yogurt is a frozen dessert made from, or containing yoghurt or other dairy products. It is slightly tangier than ice cream, as well as lower in fat (because of the use of milk instead of cream).
