"The Ministry of Home Affairs will soon appoint a nodal officer to address the problems of people of Kashmir living anywhere in the country," Rajnath Singh said here while addressing a press conference along with Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
Rajnath Singh, who is here on a two-day visit to help find a solution to the unrest in the valley, also said that the expert committee formed to find an alternative to pellet guns is likely to give its report in a day to two.
"We are going to give an alternative to pellet guns in a few days," he said.
Earlier, Singh held discussions with Mehbooba Mufti and several civil society delegations on ways to tackle the unrest that has left nearly 70 people dead in clashes with security forces since the July 8 killing of Hizbul militant Burhan Wani.
