The Bombay HC denied bail to former deputy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal, on Friday, who has been arrested in New Maharashtra Sadan Scam by ED for money laundering.

Bhujbal had applied for bail on medical grounds.
Justice Abhay Gadkari asked the government to form a three member medical team which would be headed by Dean of J J Hospital to do a complete check up of Chhagan Bhujbal on May 24. The report of the check-up has to be submitted before the investigation officer by May 27.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal and his son, Pankaj, had earlier approached the Bombay High Court. The senior Bhujbal has sought bail, while his son has asked for cancellation of the non-bailable warrant (NBW) issued against him by the special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court. He is currently lodged in Arthur road jail.
