"It's amusing to learn that Rahul Gandhi is sermonising on corruption. He should be reminded of the fact that he along with Congress president Sonia Gandhi are out on bail, because of the very important fact that the court of this country has said that both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi i.e., accused number one and accused number two, in fact had criminal intent in the National Herald case," BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told ANI.

"Those who amass the wealth of this country with criminal intent, and those who are out on bail should not sermonise on corruption. Rather than sermonising, they should be introspecting as to how they can self correct," he added.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should answer on BJP MP Kirti Azad's suspension who has been making public statements that there was corruption in the DDCA when Arun Jaitley was heading it.

"Modi ji said 'na khaunga na khaane dunga', now his MP pointed out corruption and he has been suspended. Ab Modi ji jawaab de," Gandhi told the media here.

The BJP on Wednesday suspended its Darbhanga MP Kirti Azad.

The party issued a terse letter in the evening stating, "For anti-party activities, Shri Kirti Azad, MP, Darbhanga, is with immediate effect suspended from the party."
