rime Minister Narendra Modi will be watching the final descent of Chandrayaan-2 on the Moon's surface from ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru. According to news agency IANS, PM Modi will be at the ISRO headquarters during the final descent of Chandrayaan-2.





According to officials, PM Narendra Modi will be witnessing the final descent of Chandrayaan-2 on the lunar south pole from Satellite Control Centre (SCC), ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) which is located at Bengaluru. Sources said that PM Modi will also interact with the students, who are the winners of the 'space quiz', which was conducted for students of classes 8 and 10 to coincide with the event.

Sources also said that the visit of PM Narendra Modi will boost the morale of its space scientists and will inspire youngsters to develop an innovative mind and inquiring spirit. In the past, PM Modi said that the Chandrayaan-2 mission was "Indian at heart, Indian in spirit! He described the mission as that will make every Indian overjoyed as it is a fully indigenous mission.

Earlier in the day, ISRO released a statement and said, "The lander Vikram is scheduled to powered descent between 01:00 to 02:00 hrs IST on September 07, 2019, which is then followed by touch down of Lander between 01:30 to 02:30 hrs IST."
