"As the auspicious festival of Navratri begins, I convey my warm greetings to everyone. We bow to Maa Jagdamba and seek her blessings," Modi tweeted.

The Navratri festival, a Hindu festival during which many Indians fast for nine days, will end with Dussehra Oct 3.
