An accused of a murder case surrendered before Jhinjhana police in Western Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district as he feared of being killed in encounter. The surrendered accused, who walked up to the police station with folded hands, also promised that he would not commit any crime.
The surrendered accused said, 'I had been absconding after committing the crime but now I have come to surrender. I fear that I would killed in an encounter. I won't commit any crime now.'
Reportedly, more than a dozen alleged criminals have given written submissions to the Shamli police that they would never indulge in any lawbreaking activities in future.
