The domestic help of Bollywood actor Salman Khan's sister Arpita Khan Sharma was detained on Wednesday, on the charges of stealing cash and gold worth Rs 3.25 lakh.

The incident came to light when 35-year-old help, Afsa Khan, failed to report to work since Saturday. According to police, the house-help stayed with Arpita and took care of all the household chores.
A police team spoke to Arpita's driver and domestic help of neighbouring apartments and traced the accused to her home in Nalasopara from where she was nabbed.
Arpita and Aayush cam to know about the theft had taken place only when they returned home from a holiday on August 1. The househelp became the suspect when she stopped reporting to work from July 30.
A case has already been registered against the culprits under the Indian Penal Code Section 381 (Theft by clerk or servant of property in possession of master).
