The curtain raiser of Pune's Mega Model Face Hunt 09 that was held at Gold's Gym in Kalyani Nagar last evening was called off mid-way. Though the exact reason is not known, a source present at the venue claims that the organisers (Maya Events) and authorities of Gold's Gym had a fall-out over some issues.
"The show was suddenly cancelled and everyone was asked to leave, including the judges, which was quite strange. We were told that someone had passed away," said the source.
Someone died
Sandeep Dharma, the choreographer of the event, said, "One of our main organisers from Mumbai expired while travelling to Pune. However, we will hold the show tomorrow at a different venue." Interestingly, he was not aware about the identity of the person.
MiD DAY even tried to get in touch with Tehseen Poonawala, the spokesperson of Gold's Gym, but he did not answer the calls and instead send a template message saying, "Sorry, I'll call later."
