Chandigarh: Haryana Governor Jagannath Pahadia had a miraculous escape Thursday when his plane caught fire just before take off from the Chandigarh airport, official sources said.

The plane went down barely 15-20 feet from the runway, the sources said.

It was not immediately clear what caused the accident.

The governor was pulled out of the plane and rushed to a hospital. No one suffered serious injuries in the accident, the sources added.
