Gadchiroli (Maha): A resident of Ambeshioni village in Gadchiroli has alleged that the police did not register a case after his mother lodged a complaint regarding her land being encroached by some miscreants.

Prafulla Bhaisare on Tuesday, alleged that the police refused to register a case even after several attempts to file a complaint after some persons encroached a piece of their land and destroyed the construction which was started there.

Addressing mediapersons, Prafulla Bhaisare said, "My mother Hirkanya Bhaisare went to Gadchiroli police station on May 4 to lodge a complaint in the matter. After making her wait for an hour, she was directed to the Police Station Officer.

"However, the Police Station Officer read the complaint she wrote and sent her back saying that it was a false complaint because it had overwriting."

"I then approached the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) and filed a written complaint with him. However, the SDPO made a remark on my complaint and asked me to give it to the Police Station Officer," he further said.

Bhaisare alleged that when he went to the PSO, he did not acknowledge the complaint, nor has any action been action till date.

When contacted, SDPO Nawnath Dhawle said that the Police Station Officer has been instructed to take action on the woman's complaint.
