THE Congress-NCP alliance is set to face some trouble in the future, after senior Congress leader and former Maharashtra CM AR Antulay is angry with the top bosses.

Antulay is irked that the Raigad seat, his home district, has been exchanged for a seat in Hingoli — a seat NCP would be relinquishing — to accommodate Rahul Gandhi’s trusted aide and youth Congress chief Rajiv Satav.
Antulay told a senior party member, “The party leaders did not even bother to ask me for my views before taking the decision on the Raigad seat. This is my home district and I have been associated with its politics since 1957.”
The ex CM, who was also Minority Development Minister in UPA-1, has represented Raigad constituency in the Lok Sabha for four terms.
Antulay, who served as chief minister from 1980 to 1982, also expressed his displeasure that the seat was being exchanged for a junior party member such as Satav. “I have always obeyed the party decisions and even sacrificed the Shriwardhan assembly constituency for NCP minister Sunil Tatkare,” he further had said to the party member.
Antulay could not be contacted but his aide confirmed Antulay’s displeasure and expressed his future actions in a day or two, which could spell trouble for the alliance.
