Delhiites partied as Obama took charge
With posters of a smiling Barack Obama, loud cheers from supporters and the historic oath-taking ceremony of the 44th American President being aired live on wide TV screens, Delhiites cheered as America ushered in an era of "change".
On a very windy Tuesday night, as Obama took charge in Washington, Delhi's glitterati crowd partied at a restaurant in Saket, south Delhi, to mark the moment. As alcohol flowed and spirits soared, guests including socialite Tanisha Mohan, Nishi Singh, Abdul Halder and Vandana Vadera, stood glued to the TV screen, hoping for a better tomorrow.
