A prominent anti-Taliban Pakistani Muslim cleric was killedu00a0in a suicide bomb attack in the city of Lahore today. In another blast, a suicide car-bomber set off explosives near a mosque in the northwestern town of Nowshera, killing at least three people said police reports. The blasts came as Pakistani forces stepped up attacks on militants across the northwest. Police put on high alert in the city after bomb blast in Peshawar. Security has beefed up around sensitive hotels and buildings and law enforcement agencies personnel have been deployed at entry and exit routes and pickets have been established in various places for the checking of vehicles.
