They came for the car, however, the occupant looked more alluring. Soo Yon, 17, was on her way to her school last Friday in her Blue Santro Car bearing registration number HR 26 AN 0491 when Azad and two of his accomplices, Tahir and Shakir, intercepted her vehicle.

They took the driver on gunpoint and asked him to drive the to Sohna. They made a stop over at Badshahpur before heading towards Nuh village. Azad and his accomplices snatched the mobile phone of the driver before throwing him out of the car.

The driver got help from a passing car and called up Soo's family, informing them that she has been kidnapped.
As soon as the word spread, the police swung into action and sealed the state's borders. The class ten student of Gurgaon's Pathways International School was returning from her school when the incident occurred.

However, the whole abduction theory came a cropper as the girl was found abandoned by the villagers of Mindkola village in Faridabad, hours later after she was allegedly kidnapped.
Though initially police claimed Soo was kidnapped but with the arrest of Azad on February 28, now the cops are saying that the alleged abductors were actually targeting the vehicle.

Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Anil Dhawan said, "The motive was to rob the car as the accused belong to a carjacker gang. But they kidnapped the girl also and demanded a ransom of Rs 1 lakh."
Azad is a resident of Nawabgarh and his accomplices Tahir and Shakir are still absconding.
It was her day off but Soo had gone to school to work on a special project when the three accused took her away.

Gurgaon Police Commissioner SS Deswal said, "We have identified the other two accused and we will be able to nail them soon. Azad is a carjacker and so far there is no case of kidnapping against him."
The girl has been living with her uncle and aunt in Sector-14 Gurgaon for the last three years. Her parents live in South Korea.
