New Delhi: The extremist elements in India do not want improvement in sub-continental relations, Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit has said.

Taking part in a TV programme, he said Pakistan wants to address all issues, including terrorism and Kashmir, through dialogue, Radio Pakistan reported on Tuesday.

"These extremist elements in India also disrupted a scheduled meeting between the heads of the cricket boards of the two countries," the report quoted him as saying.

The Pakistani envoy regretted violent incidents are on the rise in Maharashtra. He said attacks of extremist Hindus on Muslims in India are a cause of concern.
