Tadev Lagnam will be ready for release by the end of this year
Noted IT entrepreneur Somnath Kale turns producer with his first Marathi film Tadev Lagnam, a romantic comedy, which is scheduled for release by the end of this year.
"We have invested heavily in web development, software solutions, mobile, PC-based games and outsourcing in the IT sector.
We decided that this is the right time to invest in Marathi films," said Kale, the founder president and CEO of the Renaissance Group of Companies, Pune.
The film is co-produced by Kale's colleagues in Renaissance Avdhut Phadnis and Vinay Mahajan, and directed by Pramod Joshi.
Tadev Lagnam stars Swapnil Joshi, Aditi Sarangdhar, Pandharinath Kamble and Dilip Prabhavalkar.
"We are also planning to launch a Hindi film this year.
We are investing money in Marathi films because the audience is taking these films seriously," Kale said. Pramod Joshi, the director, said, "The film is about romance and marriage that is the norm with the younger generation.

The film will have pop and rock music and choreography by noted Bollywood choreographer Rocky Poonawala."
