However, officials from the India Meteorological Department (IMD)-Pune claimed these conditions were favourable for a good monsoon.
An IMD official said, “The entire state, including Pune, was subjected to a different weather pattern in the past few days due to weather disturbances in northern India, including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and also in Pakistan. One can expect this weather to continue for a few days.
Actually, the minimum temperature is lower than usual and the early formation of a low-pressure belt in Lakshadweep and south Gujarat region is responsible for it. The propagation of this low-pressure belt was expected to occur next month.”
But, the official claimed, people could expect a regular summer season.
“This kind of temperature should’ve been there in March. But, we missed it initially due to the weather disturbance. But, this weather is favourable for a good monsoon,” he said.
