Highway robbers strike twice

In two separate incidents, unidentified muggers robbed two car drivers off their cars, cash, mobile phone and a gold ring near the Katraj-Dehu Road bypass on Wednesday

Ganesh Maruti Ragade (26), a resident of Sahakarnagar, filed an FIR regarding this with the Bharti Vidyapeeth police station against three unidentified accused. In the other case, Sopan Devram Kale (37), a resident of Daund, lodged an FIR with the Hadapsar police station against two unknown robbers.


Police Sub-Inspector Rajaram Kshirsagar of Bharti Vidyapeeth police station said, “We are aware that there is a gang of robbers actively operating on highways that intercept and loot car drivers. We suspect that this gang may be behind these two crimes also.”
