Headley visited Osho ashram before 26/11

Osho International Resort in Pune is now under the police scanner as National Investigating Agency (NIA) revealed that the US terror suspect David Coleman Headley had visited the resort located at Koregaon Park and spent some time there.

Osho International Resort in Pune is now under the police scanner as National Investigating Agency (NIA) revealed that the US terror suspect David Coleman Headley had visited the resort located at Koregaon Park and spent some time there.


Headley - the alleged Lashkar-e Toiba (LeT) member was held by the FBI for planning terror attacks in India and Denmark - had visitedu00a0 the Osho resort inu00a0 Pune twice - once before 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks and once after the terror attack.


According to police, he visited Pune in June 2008 and then on March 2009. During both his visits he had stayed at the Osho commune.


Commune spokesperson Ma Sadhana confirmed that Headley had visited the resort, but said they were not having any details about him. "Nearly 20,000 people visit the resort. It is not possible for us to find out their motive or background. This is a place open to everyone. But we are cooperating with the investigating agency," she told MiD DAY.

People from nearly 100 countries including US, UK, Germany, Belgium, Holland, France and Israel countries visit the resort.

Osho Ashram
Osho Meditation Resort, also called the Osho Ashram was established in 1974 by Acharya Rajneesh in Koregaon Park, Pune. Rajneesh also known as Osho, preached at the ashram from 1974 to 1981.

The Ashram teaches meditation techniques specifically designed to relax the body and make it stress free. The Meditation centre is hugely popular with the western tourists and has becomeu00a0 one of India's main tourist attractions.
