The movie was shown in the theatre to an over 100-member audience.

Speaking to mid-day over the phone, senior police inspector Rajesh Shirshat of Malegaon City police station said, “We have registered a case against cinema owners, operator and staff under various sections of the Copyright Act. We have arrested the operator in the case, while others are still at large.”
Great Grand Masti
According to police officials, on the night of July 6, the Malegaon police got a call from cyber police officials in BKC saying that Great Grand Masti is being played in the Central Cinema. A senior police inspector said, “We immediately formed a team and raided the Central Cinema. Over 100 people were watching the movie. This was just a day before Eid. We stopped the movie and seized all the items from the movie theatre.”
The cops seized a video player, TV, projector, and two pen drives. Shirshat said, “The movie, which was being played at Central Cinema, had ‘Censor Copy’ written on it.” He added, “The court has remanded the operator in police custody. We are investigating how the copy was released and it reached Central Cinema. More arrests are likely in the case.”
Director says
Great Grand Masti director Indra Kumar says, “The police have already arrested the guilty and necessary action has been taken against the cinema owner. It was brought to our notice immediately after the screening of the film and a police complaint was filed. Prompt action ensured a stop to any further screenings.”
