Five all-time favourite cuisines, great music and khan market as home make Urban Cafe a great place to chat and chomp
Delhi's a mish-mash of many tastes and cultures, on its many platforms and platters. We don't mind a slice of pizza till the dal makhani arrives, and love our paneer butter masala-roti just as we do, our piping hot pasta. Urban Cafe is an apt mirror of this multicultural marriage. It serves food of five different kinds Indian, Oriental (Chinese and Thai, to be specific) Mediterranean, Italian and Continental and does it with great panache.
Here's why.

Since it was raining heavily, sipping on soups like sweet corn, manchow and wonton each priced at Rs 130 onwards proved wise.u00a0 Yes, they're worth it. Fried corn cream (Rs 210) and tomato salsa tortilla (Rs 175) make for good accompaniments. Carnivores can feast on several choices pork, fish, lamb and chicken specialties, like hummus with meat-lamb minced (Rs 245) and crispy fried butterfly scampi (Rs 550). In main course, our recommendations are grilled Scottish salmon (Rs 550) and Chicken Toscana (Rs 995). The vegetable moussaka (Rs 250), Banarsi aloo (Rs 210) and Makai Khum Hara Piaz (Rs 210) are just as good. Every dish that's on the menu here has been given an urban, experimental twist to display an innovative cooking style, which the tastebuds don't quite mind. Round it up with warm chocolate pudding with liquid centre (Rs 240), chocolate mousse cake (Rs 200) or blueberry cheese cake (Rs 200) nothing gets better than these.

There're hot beverages to drive away the chill, like teas and coffee. Alternatively, you can soothe your throat with interesting shakes (Rs 125 onwards) like Baileys Irish cream shake, Lindt chocolate shake, choco-monster and roller coaster shake. The liqueur license, however, is still awaited.u00a0u00a0
