The three plays Dancing on Glass, Creeper and Bust showcase the urban life we deal with everyday.

Call centre employees, software engineers, social networking websites and IT professionals populate these plays. Make no mistake, these productions are not based in the void of a random SEZ.
The characters of playwright-director Ram Ganesh Kamatham's plays belong to Bengaluru and represent the idiosyncrasies of the city they inhabit.
The city is a part of the plays, so much so that it could be considered as an omnipotent character.
"This body of plays seems to have become a trilogy that is themed not on the ideological representation of an urban phenomenon but simply on the city where I come from.

It's absolutely intriguing to see audiences in other cities find moments and elements that they react to and connect with," says Kamatham.
All plays will be performed at Prithvi Theatre, Janki Kutir, Juhu Church Road, Vile Parle (W). Call: 26149546 Ticket: Rs 80 (today and tomorrow), Rs 200 (July 22)
Creepers (Premier show: 2007)
On: July 21, 7 pm and 9.30 pm
What is it about? Creepers is an interesting take on the battle of two story tellers. She is the expert narrator while he is the mischievous sutradhar (narrator). The play takes on subjects as diverse as cyberspace, poetry, exorcism rituals and social networking websites. Find out if the contradictory storytellers agree to tell the story.
Playwright-Director says: This is a very, very experimental play. It's a comedy that deals with the mythology of Vikram and Betal. The king and vampire spirit are placed in a contemporary setting, with Bengaluru becoming a backdrop for the play.
Dancing on Glass (Premier show: 2004)
On: Today, 7 pm and 9.30 pm
What is it about? The protagonists, Megha and Shankar, are young working professionals. She works nights at a call centre and finds that her hormones are all over the place. He is a software engineer suffering from constipation. Take a look at the flip side of the world of Information Technology.
Playwright-Director says: Dancing on Glass was written at a time before the world of a call centre captured public imagination and became a popular idea. Slumdog Millionaire and Chetan Bhagat hadn't happened then. The play realistically represents a time when Bengaluru was reeling under the drastic changes that came along with call centres.
Bust (Premier show: 2010)
On: July 22, 7 pm and 9.30 pm
What is it about? Bust takes a look at Bengaluru's history, with a tinge of humour. The play ushers the audience on an exploratory journey of Bengaluru with three women, who delve into the city's history in search of an ancient relic buried under a thousand year old temple.
Playwright-Director says: This play is not a classroom-like take on history. While writing this play I was most concerned that it should not turn out to be a boring production, which works best as a cure for insomnia. It was a challenge to make history interesting and create a play that connected with audiences from outside Bengaluru too
