A four-month-old boy today died and at least 17 persons were seriously injured when a state transport bus met with an accident on National Highway 6 near Bagnan in this district, police said

Howrah: A four-month-old boy today died and at least 17 persons were seriously injured when a state transport bus met with an accident on National Highway 6 near Bagnan in this district, police said.


The South Bengal State Transport Corporation (SBSTC) bus, bound for Tamluk from Kolkata, rammed a water tanker at Mohishrekha, killing Rumit Jana on the spot, they said.


The injured have been admitted to Uluberia hospital and hunt is on to nab the driver and cleaner of the bus, police said.
