A female motorist was charged by the Navi Mumbai police for ramming her Honda City with a Maruti Suzuki Omni at Palm Beach road in Navi Mumbai. All the occupants in the Omni got injured and have been hospitalised
A 32-yr-old Khargar resident Seema Premal Thakkar, who was driving the Honda City, apparently hit the Maruti at the intersection of Nerul signal around 11 pm on Palm Beach road.

The occupants of the Maruti Omni Dayanand Ganpat Manjrekar(30), Shekhar Gaikwad, Bhaskar Shetty and Vasheer Shaikh were injured in the process. Gaikwad a resident of Kanjurmarg is in critical condition.
The injured are being treated at MGM Hospital in Vashi.
Dr. Bharat Jagiasi, Head of the Critical Care unit of MGM said, “Gaikwad is bleeding internally and has lost a major amount of blood and hence he is in a critical condition. Shaikh has sustained spinal fractures and will take a few weeks to recover completely. Shetty who was also brought in last night is currently stable.”
The police took Thakkar into custody and she has been booked under Section 184 of the IPC for dangerous driving.
Investigating officer Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Hire said, “The case has been registered by Dayanand Manjrekar who is one of the injured. Initial reports suggest that the speeding Honda City lost control and rammed the Omni. However we are still investigating to find out whose fault it was that caused the accident.”u00a0
