HSC results already declared, but degree college admissions won't begin till Jun 6
THE wait for SSC results might not be too long. Sources in the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) told MiD DAY that the results could be out by the end of the first week of June.
This year the percentages of students will be calculated according to the best-five formula. However, the marks obtained in the subjects will be mentioned on the mark-sheet, said Ujjwaladevi Patil, chairperson of MSBSHSE.
While she would not give an exact date, she stated that the results would be declared before June 15. Asked about the formula for admissions, Shahaji Dhekne, MSBSHSE secretary, said that while the Supreme Court was yet to give its verdict on the best-five formula for admissions, the state government had decided to go ahead with the same formula as last year until the announcement of a decision.
Post-HSC admissions
The HSC results were declared a few days ago, but colleges across the city are still scrambling to start admissions for the first year in degree courses. Even though results were declared online a few days ago, students will have to wait some days more for admissions to begin as colleges have decided to wait until June 6, when the mark-sheets will be given out to HSC pass-outs.
