When you think of ganne ka juice, is the jingle of the juice-extracting machine in a dingy room, the first thought that crops up in your mind? Then, Cool Cane on Laxmi Road will definitely be a pleasant shocker for you. This healthy and hygienic juice parlour is exclusively dedicated to sugarcane juice. Though, the concept of such parlours is common in cities like Bengaluru, it is the first outlet to open in the city. The owners are also planning to open a few more outlets all over the city, so you no longer have to trudge to Laxmi Road to sip on your favourite juice. 
Ambience: Situated on a busy stretch, Cool Cane looks spic and span and claims to be a "fly-free" outlet. It doesn't resemble the typical sugarcane outlet and is quite vibrant thanks to the abundance of green all over the place, right from the walls to the uniforms. Being a tiny place, there is virtually no space to stand and if you happen to be there in the evenings, you may have to gulp your juice fast to make way for the person standing next to you. But it's more than worth it. Check this out they have imported juice extractors from Korea, and a refrigeration unit to cool the canes. Moreover, your order is served in less than five minutes.

On offer: They use "419" sugarcanes, which are supposed to be the juiciest. You can choose from Plain, Lime, Mint, Salt and Pepper, Ginger and Chaat Masala flavours. If you really want a hatke experience, opt for their Ice-Cream, Pineapple and Herbal flavours or mix one flavour with the other. If all the drinking makes you hungry, they serve fresh Sprout Salad (Rs 12) and Chutney Sandwich (Rs 10).
We tried: The Pineapple Sugarcane juice (Rs 12) was an interesting concept. Fresh pineapple paste added to a glass of sugarcane juice with a dash of lemon juice, salt and a pinch of chaat masala tasted awesome. Another great variation is the Sugarcane juice with Ice cream (Rs 15), where you can opt for the strawberry or vanilla flavours. The combined taste was excellent and thoroughly refreshing. We also tried the Mint with lemon and chaat masala (Rs 10), which tasted deliciously tangy.
