"In the 70s, Konarak was the name of my three piece electric band that played at Cellars, Delhi. For the past few years I have been touring solo with my nylon string guitar. This is a rekindling of my relationship with the electric guitar," says Reddy explaining the story behind the name he has given the ensemble.
The mood of the evening is going to be clearly electric, so sit back relax and expect some serious jamming on stage as the artists come together to bring a show that is almost impromptu. "Ranjit and I have known each other since the time rock and roll first came to India. We would jam together and hang out in Mumbai," says Reddy. "There is definitely going to be some impromptu jamming as Ranjit is coming down only a day before the show and Asaf and I have been playing together about five years ago," he adds.
Reddy's journey began at an early age through a family inclined towards music and the arts. Inseparable from the city's musical evolution, Reddy has inspirations and experience that have evolved over time to create a niche of its own.

"I hope my inspiration lies in the silence of sound. I remember an advertising guy once telling me to create the sound of Metallic Blue. So maybe my sound is like Metallic Blue," says Reddy. Talking about the evolution of his sound and style, he says, "I hope my work has evolved since I started out, but I also believe that when you create something that is special to you, you need to discard it and all the logic that comes with it".
