60-year-old G Niranjan was beaten to death by a group of people, including his relatives, for allegedly practising black magic in Mahabubnagar district of Andhra Pradesh.

"The incident took place around 11 am, when people attacked him suspecting that he was practising black magic, as one of his relatives died in the village a month ago," said a police officer.

No one has been arrested in connection with the case so far, and investigations were still on. Police have registered a case of murder.
