Thorat said that the scanning of the land documents would also be initiated from August 1. While speaking about new projects, he said, “The state government has initiated various new projects. However, it is necessary for the concerned departments to implement these projects as soon as possible, so that people will not have to make a rounds to the concerned departments to get their work done.”
A large number of cases registered in police stations are related to land issues. “It has therefore become necessary to have speedy system which would be able to complete the work of land measurement, mutation and other land related work in short time,” he added.
