Drunken Polish woman creates commotion

Was allegedly blocking traffic and making a scene outside the Australian Embassy

A drunken Poland Embassy official created chaos in the Capital's Diplomatic Enclave in Chanakyapuri late on Tuesday night, sending cops into a tizzy. A police officer said that she was making a scene outside the Australian Embassy and was stopping cars.

A man whose vehicle was stopped reported the matter to the police.

"It was around 12:50 am when the call was received. A police officer was sent to the spot. The officer found that the woman was totally drunk and could not tell him her name. Later cops came to know that she is a native of Poland and the respective embassy was informed. Embassy officials came and identified her. They then took her away with them," said a senior police officer.

The officer said that first they had thought the woman was an athlete who had come to India for the Commonwealth Games but that wasn't the case.
