Mahesh (41), who was so drunk that he could not even stand properly rammed his car into the car of Parijnan Rao (30), a BPO employee.



Mahesh's wife Roopa was also with him in the car and according to eyewitnesses, she was also drunk.
"I was returning home to Malleswaram from office.

I was moving straight towards Museum Road when within seconds, Mahesh hit my car from the left. Mahesh was on Residency Road and was moving towards Shoolay Circle at great speed," said Parijnan. "I have just received a small injury on my back. Mahesh was unable to even stand properly as he was completely drunk."

After hitting Parijnan's car, Mahesh lost control and hit a pole by the side of the road. Mahesh's car was completely damaged as he was driving at great speed. Even Parijnan's vehicle has been damaged badly.

Mahesh and Roopa, residents of Shanthinagar, were taken to the nearby St Philomina's Hospital for treatment. The police said that Mahesh has injured his shoulder while Roopa has fractured her leg.

The Ashok Nagar police confirmed that Mahesh was at fault as he was drunk. A case of drink driving has been registered at the Ashok Nagar traffic police station against Mahesh.

According to sources, the music system from Mahesh's car was stolen in all the confusion.
