When you meet 24 year-old entrepreneur Naadia Mirza for the first time, she will instantly remind you of Shruti Kakkar (played by Anushka Sharma) from this year's surprise hit Band Baaja Baaraat. Like Kakkar, who was a wedding planner since her school days in the flick, Mirza has been in the business of throwing birthday surprises since she was 16. She also shows off her album filled with photographs from these parties as enthusiastically as Kakkar does in the film to Bittu Sharma (Ranveer Singh's character).

Mirza has been throwing themed birthday parties through college and has launched her brand Dottedi as the next step. Under the brand, the Bangalore-based Mirza spins together surprise birthdays and themed parties, whips up cakes, cookies and chocolates for various occasions, creates food gift hampers and trousseau packing and even arranges for gifting experiences.
When asked about the story behind her brand name, Mirza says, "The name comes from the idiom "Dot your I's, Cross your T's" which translates into being very careful and paying attention to the tiniest of details." The tagline accompanying the brand name says The Devil is in the Details, which again is a reference to paying attention to details because that's where you tend to make mistakes. Mirza borrowed this phrase from her accounting days.

Mirza, who has done her Bachelors in Business Management, was a corporate pusher before she decided to do her Masters in Creative Businesses from Manchester, UK. Signing up for this course opened the world and she decided to start a one-stop solution for all things in Bangalore. Though she is Bangalore-based, Mirza takes orders in Mumbai and Delhi where she has a tie-up with local bakers who bake designer cakes, cupcakes, tarts with sugar art and chocolates and will deliver them at your doorstep. She is also willing to send over jazzy gift and wedding hampers. All you need to do is to order a couple of days in advance.u00a0u00a0u00a0
Dottedi is going online soon, in the form of a shop where you can also buy scented tea lights, shot glasses, magnets with funky messages on them and Dare to Do activity cards. The cake industry is perhaps the biggest business right now for Dottedi with Mirza making cupcakes with baby shower related sugar craft on them and even playboy-themed ones. For brand junkies she will even whip up monogrammed Louis Vuitton bag-inspired cakes.
