BHMS doctor held for posing as economic adviser to Prime Minister, using national emblem on his car to deceive people and make money

The Kondhwa police arrested a BHMS doctor working as an intern yesterday for posing as an economic adviser to the Prime Minister and using the national emblem on his Mercedez Benz with an intent to deceive. The doctor's driver was also arrested for being an accomplice in the offence.

Ankush Pramod Shrivastava (25), a resident of Hill Dell Society in Undri, and Pandurang Dhondiba Datir (23), a resident of Bibwewadi, were arrested in the case. Ankush, an intern doctor, used to work as a part-time share broker as well. Datir worked as his driver.

Cards, letterheads
The police said Shrivastatva told them he used the national emblem on his expensive car to impress people.
"We have checked with the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in Delhi and confirmed that Ankush Shrivastava was faking the identity of an economic adviser to the PM," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone IV) Sanjay Jadhav. "We have seized a large number of fake visiting cards, letterheads, two laptops and the car which
had the Rajmudra used illegally on it."

Shrivastava's car also had a red beacon light on top of it.

"After getting a tip-off that Shrivastava was illegally using a car with a red beacon, he was taken into custody by traffic police officers. Later, when it was confirmed during investigation that he was not entitled to the privilege of using the red beacon and was using a fake identity, he was arrested," said Jadhav. "Shrivastava claimed that he had purchased the Benz car from his friend and was paying for it in instalments."

The good life
The officer said Shrivastava had rented an office at the Classic Residency society on the Salunke Vihar premises in Kondhwa.

"He was working as a BHMS intern doctor but used to pay a rent of almost Rs 60,000 for the office in Classic Residency," said Jadhav. "He has confessed to have using the national emblem and using a fake identity to impress people and make commercial gains."
