Dispute over playing Holi leads to man's death

A 30-year-old man was murdered at his residence in Khadki last evening. The death was reportedly the result of a dispute between him and four of his acquaintancesu00a0over throwing colours. The police have launched a search for the four suspects.

The deceased has been identified as Kuldeepsingh Pal, a resident of Line Bazaar near Bombay Sappers in Khadki.

"Pal's neighbours said that he and his friends had some dispute over playing Holi. Around 6.30 pm, the suspects went to Pal's house and started beating him up. Pal's mother and younger brother tried to intervene, but his mother fell unconscious. She was taken to a nearby hospital by his younger brother. In the meantime, the suspects attacked Pal with a boulder. He died on the spot due to head injuries," said Police Inspector Manik Akolkar of Vishrantwadi police station.

"Pal was lying in a pool of blood when his younger brother returned. As the suspects were known to
the deceased, they will be nabbed soon."
