The Delhi government today said it was fully prepared to tackle any case of swine flu in the national capital. "We have identified at least eleven hospitals across the city where patients of swine flu, if any, can be treated.
All these hospitals are well-equipped to deal with any emergency case," Delhi Health Minister Kiran Walia told PTI. GB Pant Hospital, AIIMS, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital, Safdarjung Hospital, Hindu Rao Hospital and Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital are among the medical establishments identified to admit emergency cases.

The government was reacting after a man tested positive for swine flu in the capital and said there was no need to panic. "The Central Government has already kept a stock of ten million tablets needed for treatment of swine flu. We have made arrangements with the Central Health Ministry to provide the medicine whenever required," Walia added.

Doctors have been asked to keep beds vacant to give priority to the patients showing symptoms of the disease, the health minister further said.
