The said incident, reported in regional newspapers, occurred at Donam Addahati village in Sonitpur district, where the village heads are sympathetic towards the grand old party.
The village elders are said to have issued a diktat, making it mandatory for all the villagers to vote for Congress. However, Dilwara Begum, decided to defy the order and voted for BJP’s Pramod Borathakur.
