The clash ensued when two groups of prisoners scuffled during the screening of Rajnikanth starrer Tamil film "Shivaji" on the jail premises.
As the wardens intervened to separate the fighting prisoners, one of the group attacked them with stones and sticks, injuring three wardens, police said.
Two prisoners were also injured in the clash, they said. All the injured have been admitted to the government hospital here. Security had been tightened in and around the jail, following the incident, jail sources said.
